By their fruit you will recognize them!

The Bible is basically warning about the false prophets and teachers who are disguised as the real ones. How can we recognize them along with their modus operandi? The Bible claims that Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light and so does his demons. Apparently the devil is quite capable of demonstrating his vast knowledge about words with perfection as he deceives many people. In a way, he influences certain people on earth by his spirit, to act as real prophets and teachers as they promote false doctrines that are seemingly parallel to the bible verses. Sadly, a greater percentage of the world’s population is taken over by these ungodly spirits! This fact is confirmed and written in 2 Corinthians 4:4, NIV-Bible; “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God”.

It is also written in Matthew 7:15-20 (NIV); “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn-bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them”. Though many are familiar with the above mentioned verses, often they fail to recognize and understand its real meaning. As a matter of fact, the word of God is used nowadays in this world to prove the futility theories of evil to justify the unrighteousness, rather than the righteousness of God.

The truth to be told, false prophets or teachers will never appear with the title of ‘imposters’ – instead, they will appear often as holy and genuine – deceiving people in large volumes or groups with their innovative principles flavored with the word of God. Most probably, they will be teachings the easy ways or techniques on how to achieve the salvation and prosperity, without the heed of being righteous in the sight of the Lord. This is the essential proof for any true believer to spot and recognize these imposters in this world. Therefore, be closer to the Lord and He will definitely give you the wisdom to discern between right and wrong. Amen
