Lord’s patience means salvation:

Is there any better way to serve the Lord?

Since the Bible declares that heaven and earth will pass away but not my words – the decrees of the Lord given to His people remain same as ever before. And all the promises of the Lord come to pass in its own time in a perfect way. It is written in 2 Peter 3:8-9, NIV-Bible; “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

As we are assured as commented, for a new earth where all the righteous dwells – we are obliged to live holy and godly while we look forward to that day with the Lord (2 Peter 3:11). Yet, many believers continue living lukewarm considering themselves forgiven forever. As a matter of fact, this is a wrong understanding against the fundamentals of the Bible – as it has always claimed that you cannot serve two masters, God and Devil. In fact, the Bible has never supported the halfhearted nature of a believer, as it always recommends the purity of the heart is inevitably essential. Remember, the forgiveness of the Lord mentioned in 1 John 1:9 is not a tool for anyone to seek Lord’s forgiveness conveniently time to time, but to come out of their ignorance and repeated follies.

It is time to come back with a contrite heart, as you are taken closely and dearly by the Lord. The word of God says in 2 Peter 3:14-15, NIV-Bible; “Since you are looking forward to the day of the Lord, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him”. Therefore, be on your guard since you have been forewarned – and not to be carried away by the colors of this world, falling from your secure positions. Amen
