The Last Day’s Bewilderment

What happened to this world? People are increasingly becoming self-centered, since love is the scarcest thing in terms of giving. Of course, they love to love themselves and to have many comforts subjugating any possible barriers. Obviously, loving others is taking a turn of superficial demonstration, seeking alone benefits. And this trend can be observed anywhere in this world which includes the love patterns of families even. The word of God says in 2 Timothy 3:17, NIV-Bible; "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—"

These strange occurrences of wavering are happening even in the midst of presumed believers of Christianity. Though, presented as staunch believers, many of them are still in the magic circle of this world fantasy; just like any other fellow-being having or seeking the luxuries of this world. In fact, the Bible warned about the danger in pursuing the richness of this world – as it’s written in 1 Timothy 6:9-10, NIV-Bible; "Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many grieves". But sadly, many believers of Christ replaced the bible-phrase “love of money” to the promises of prosperity. As a matter of fact, that is a good piece of manipulation, in terms of interpreting wrongly the word of God. The bible says in 1Timothy 6:6-8, NIV-Bible; "But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it – But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that".

Apparently, mixing of godliness with worldliness becoming a trend in Christianity nowadays! And thus fulfilling the bible-prophesies that Satan is being the imposter, or the center point of the church in these last days – always claiming the power of the Lord but rejecting His powers through much disobedience in the words. Besides, finding various excuses and inventing new doctrines to evade the gentle requirements of the scriptures are not very uncommon. In fact, this generation is ready to embrace only the easiness in the word of God – as it is written in 2 Timothy 3:5&7, NIV-Bible; "(v5) having a form of godliness but denying its power – (v7) Always learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth". Those who have ears, let them hear, Amen
