Who are blessed and what is blessing?

The vain and inappropriate usage of the term ‘blessing’ has become common in this generation. From a simple sneezing to various insignificant situations, people use this infamous clause “God Bless”. As far as the real faith or spirituality is concerned, this meaningless expression is not inevitable. Commoners use this term for a purpose of faking godliness hypothetically. But I guess the true believers have a responsibility to understand what real blessings of the Lord are. The Bible confirms in Ephesians 1:3-5 that the chosen people are blessed already from the very beginning according to His good purpose and will. No one can initiate or reproduce the blessing of the Lord by their lips as it becomes blasphemy against the Lord. To be reminded that the blessing of the Lord is holy and no creation can use the name of the Lord in vain. As an earthly being, we could bless someone with our hands or lips, but never use the name of the Lord. Moreover, as per the bible, there is a righteous criterion for God to bless someone apparently.

It is clearly written in the bible that the blessed people are the chosen people of the Lord. Since the ‘chosen’ are elected for a purpose, they are destined to fulfill the plan and purpose of the Lord through His living word. The word of God says in Luke 11:28; “Jesus replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” – A beautiful response or rather an explanation of Jesus Christ during his earthly ministry when cherished by an unidentified woman from the surrounded crowd. It is imperative to understand as well that the real blessing of the Lord comes with a basis of living righteously. Some may fret to accept the fact that no one is righteous, but the word says that the chosen people are cleansed through and through till the end because of His grace, and thus enabling them to be righteous. As long as the name of the Lord exists, the written words in the Bible have the power to do miracles in the lives of true believers. Moreover, the list of miracles starts and is numerous, from the moment we open our eyes in the morning till we close it for a good night’s sleep. Often people miss the real meaning of miracles as they search for something daily to be called ‘the blessing’. Amen
