Church divided over leaders

Divisions among churches are considered detrimental when it happens for unhealthy reasons. Psalm 133:1 says that how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! In fact, the Bible calls for the unity and maturity in the body of Christ – and as a prisoner of the Lord every believer is obliged to live a life worthy of calling. The word of God further says, all believers should be humble and gentle while being patient with one another in love – making all the effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the peace of the Lord. It is written in Ephesians 4:4-6, which says; “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Though the Bible speaks integrity, the man-made churches around the world often deprive those qualities of oneness – or even being divided constantly over silly matters of freedom and power. Perhaps, most of them misplaced the concept of the true love for various mundane reasons. Is there any presence of true God in such places of worship? Or, Is Christ divided in their minds and hearts?

Apostle Paul appeals in 1 Corinthians 1: 10 that; “In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.” The bible also declares in Ephesians 4:7 that, for each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. And the Bible further clarifies in Ephesians 4:11-13, that Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Even though, there are classifications in the body of the Church, the divisions among the saints are forbidden as it may continue crucifying the Lord. In reality, no man-made church is better than the other if ever the true Spirit is dwelling there. And be reminded that, remembering and speaking the word of God will never make anyone righteous; but living in it. When the bible says that Satan is an ‘impostor’ – He is the one who engages in deception under an assumed name or identity – and we can see that spirit of deception elsewhere among the churches around the world. Amen
