“At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. Multitudes that sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.” (Daniel 12:1-4, NIV-Bible)
Though the bible speaks about the last day’s inevitable tribulation; the scripture confirms about the deliverance to those who are predestined in Christ. It is also written in Mark 13:20; “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them”. It is wisdom to accept the invitation of the Lord as it is written in Proverbs 1:30-33, NIV-Bible; “Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm”. The bible is in fact warning everyone that the present age is so corrupted to the point that the devil has blinded the minds of many, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel which displays the glory and the power of Christ, who is the image of God. And it stubbornly validates that the blindness towards the gospel is solely for those who are perishing.
The word of God says in Matthew 24:10-14, NIV-Bible; “At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come”. Unlike many speciously believed, salvation is not guaranteed to anyone and everyone who accepts the Lord literally; but the one who stays firm in the true-faith till the end. It is also written in Daniel 12:10, NIV-Bible; “Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.” Amen
