There is no doubt that hard training or meticulous practices are often needed to become an expert in any field. The righteousness mentioned in the bible is no different from the above, as it needs total dedication and obedience to the word of God for producing spiritual fruits in one’s life.
Sadly, many doctrines of Christianity nowadays teach how to bypass this factor of ‘obedience’ as it modulates the bible-fundamentals more towards the convenience. Even the secular world has recognized the impacts of the ‘negative approaches’ in terms of accomplishing any undertaking, as they call it ‘lack of knowledge’. On the other hand, a system swathed with fundamentals always has been demonstrated with significant positive results even though it takes time to accomplish.
According to the bible, the disobedience makes sinfulness and obedience do righteousness in the sight of the Lord. The word of God says in Romans 5:18-19, NIV-Bible; “Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous”. Though the above bible-verse talks about the process of redemption and salvation; the objectives are all about obedience in God’s precepts as he rewards those who follow them carefully. Ultimately, the obedience to the word of God is the key to the guaranteed salvation – as the Bible declares that God will make it possible exclusively for the chosen people.
Since darkness has its inevitable toll on earth, the sinful nature of man often prevails in the form of disobedience, unless enlightened by the word of God to discern its veiled craftiness. And remember, obedience in the word is a gift from God for His chosen people; and no one can force this on anyone through preaching or teaching. Those who have ears, let them hear, Amen
