Bible admits that the human body is weak, though the spirit inside is willing! Even after learning the scriptures, we cannot keep a steady pace yet with righteousness, and fall often as we seek the Lord’s forgiveness pattern. Is sinning inevitable to mankind? I guess a great deal of understanding is necessary to unveil the secrets on this regard. And according to the Bible in Matthew 13:11 that wisdom is already given to the true disciples. Now the concern is – are we the true disciples?
The word of God says in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17; “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple”. Now, how can it be possible that someone with the true spirit of God can commit a sin that could destroy or damage the temple of God, which is the physical body of the believer? And how come this above verse can compromise the given strength from the Lord to the true believers? And how can we justify this concept against the written verses of John 10:27-28, which says; “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” Perhaps, we missed the right interpretation of certain verses that aligns the entire bible! Or, these verses are not written for the true believers as it sounds difficult for many. I suppose, the ‘predestined’ theory mentioned in the bible prevails most when concluding this matter in terms of the final judgment of the Lord. Quite intriguing, but no choice since everything is ordained long time ago in Christ Jesus, even before the creation of the world, says the Bible in Ephesians 1:4-5! Besides, the bible says to “stand still”, and you will see the glory of the Lord!
Therefore, believe that we are not on our own and the choice is not ours. Truth to be told, everything is done by the Lord, especially when the bible says in Hebrews 12:2 “Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith”. If we are chosen, we will be made holy by the Lord as we will definitely glorify His name through our bodies. And He will do it in an unknown fashion and time, only to surprise us with its best outcome. The word of God says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” Mind you, the temple of God is sacred, and that temple is your body. And beyond our comprehension, do nothing; the Lord will work with you according to His plan, if you’re chosen and worthy. Amen
