Righteous living cleanses our conscience

While the temptation is powerful and inevitable, there is no way out of it except through the word of God. Although the Bible confirms that we are formed in a fragile body, the power of the divine strength is readily available for those who are diligently seeking God by obeying His commands. The word of God says in 1 Corinthians 10:13; “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it”. This above verse is a reminder for us to seek help from God in times of temptation.

Since Jesus Christ is the mediator of this New Covenant Faith, those who were called may receive the promised inheritance, as a reward. It is an absolute truth that without the obedience to the word of God, no one can be saved, or made complete in the end; and the bible says that those who are chosen will be made righteous since God will work in them, to will and to act godly.

It is written in Hebrews 9:13-14; “The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!” In other words, if we are within the strongholds of this New Covenant Faith, no one can ever snatch us away, or they rather ever perish (John 10:28).

Therefore, believe in the promises of God with absolute obedience as He will cleanse us thoroughly, to say “No” to evil. Besides, remember that God alone who works in us to fulfill His good purpose (Philippians 2:13) – not because of our merits, but out of His unfailing love since He chosen us in Christ. Amen
