Do not quench or grieve the Holy Spirit

It is necessary that the believers consider the whole bible is God’s work. And the perfect compilations of its written words are intended for all saints to establish and continue living in their faith. Theoretically, promises in the Bible are attainable only with holiness and righteousness, since darkness cannot approach God as a part of the heavens fundamentals. It is noteworthy when the bible says that perfect gift from the God is everlasting and never changes like the shifting shadows (James 1:17). Perhaps, it is wisdom to examine those gifts we have received, which are thought to be from the Lord, to see whether it’s changing color or causing any pain to the bearer, in the course of time.

The word of God says in Ephesians 4:30; “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Though God protects the chosen people from the sins which leads to death (John 10:27-28), resisting and evading the evil is indispensable for all true believers. According to the scriptures, abomination separates man from God while it portrays the characteristics of a heathen, essentially grieving the Holy Spirit. In simple words, in order to grieve not the Holy Spirit, the believers should continue in the faith as it brings conviction to their hearts for living righteously obedient to the Lord.

It is also written in 1 Thessalonians 5:19; “Do not quench the Spirit.” Similar to grieving the spirit, anyone who commits sin basically quenches or extinguishes the spirit within. Therefore, live holy since the one who called us holy (1 Peter 1:16). In addition, being saved by the Lord is not a sole phenomenon; it’s a continual process of reconciling with our daily follies, as we are sealed and perfected on a daily basis. Amen
