As faithful Christians, our fundamental belief is in the risen Lord. Everything that we believe, stand and guard against the fact, our Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross and resurrected on the third day, 2000 years ago. According to the bible, everyone who believes in this truth will have the reconciliation with the father in heaven. Hence, it is very important that every born-again Christian should believe that Jesus is raised from the death. Remember, born-again Christians are not a religious sect – they are the ones who believe in the Son, Jesus Christ – as it is written in John 3:3; “Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again”.
It is written in 1 Corinthians 15:14-19; “If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.”
As we commemorate and pledge once again today the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we truly become victorious – a kind of victory that could overcome every obstacle in our spiritual life. And when we believe that our past sins have died along with Jesus Christ on the cross – we are then raised as well with Him, to live in his righteousness hereafter. Consequently, now there is a reason to live obediently for the Lord – not to fear death or anything hinders our faith, since our Lord Jesus has overcome the death. Amen
