Imitating Christ’s Humility

Being united with Christ, every born-again Christian should demonstrate a great deal of love, tenderness, compassion and common-sharing in the spirit. Moreover, there shouldn’t be hatred of any kind among the believers; instead they should care one another with humility by having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. It is quite a lesson to learn how to value others above yourselves – not looking to your own interests, but the interests of the others (Philippians 2:3-4). Besides, remember that the true word of God and its acceptance is meant for the chosen people since it was planned a long time ago, as it is stated in the bible. In other words, no one can come to Jesus and his disposition unless God the father enables them (John 6:65) – and this statement adamantly cancels the concept of “free will” or “choice” for the mankind especially in terms of godly matters. Mind you, the godly love mentioned in the bible is not the love that you see in this world which undermines the unselfishness.

Apparently, the bible explained the mindset of Jesus in the form of humility towards every little thing. Even though Jesus possess truly the nature of God, He didn’t consider parity with God for his own advantage during the ministry on earth – instead he humbled in everything as a man with earthly feelings, even to the point of his death on the cross. It is written in Philippians 2:9-11; “God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”.

Therefore, learn the humility what Jesus has shown us, to live with love and compassion, which surpasses any rules in this entire world. And definitely God will exalt us in the end, for the glory of his son Jesus. Amen
