Love is the fulfillment of the Law

The world says love is all about feelings. The bible says ‘love is God’ – and it continues saying, love is the fulfillment of the law. So, how love can fulfill the law? For the love mentioned in the bible is not selfish unlike the world, it goes hand-in-hand with the true belief in Jesus Christ, where Love bears and endures all things.

The word of God says in Romans 13:8-10; “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law”. In other words, if you have a mindset of having peace, you are fulfilling the requirements of righteousness.

See what bible has to say more about love in (1 Corinthians 13:1-7); “If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres”.

Therefore, eliminate the nature of the corrupted world from within us, and then cling onto the incorruptible nature of a new man which we have learned from the bible. And let us not be weary in loving others as ourselves. Behold, loving others does not include mixing up with evil people or bad company, but to treat everyone equally with the love of God at all given chances or circumstances. Credibly, only the people with the right spirit of God can love others unconditionally, especially when the true love is an attribute of God. Amen
