Give careful thought to your ways:

“Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.” (Haggai 1:5-6, NIV-Bible)

Reading the above verses as a directive given to the people of the Old Testament for rebuilding the Lord’s ruined temple, probably was it momentous since Prophet Haggai conveys the Lord’s message in a very simple way. But the true concept of having a godly church within remains same forever, even for the ages to come, I believe. To be precise – in the New Covenant faith, the building of the church happens within us, not outside – where all the good actions come from the depths of a clean heart, filled with the true spirit. Besides, almost every teaching in this said new covenant goes parallel to the much-thought obedience in word of God.

Apparently, the perspective of living righteously is not a command in its lower limits; but a foremost need in the kingdom of heaven. And it compels all the true believers to adjoin with the true love, Jesus Christ – as it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:21, NIV-Bible; “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” In other words, this above mentioned righteousness is given through the faith in Jesus Christ to all those who believe – in the way, it is prescribed as well in John 7:38, NIV-Bible; “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, the revelation from God never stops within the time limits – as it extends from the beginning of the earth till the end, in all very different ways and forms until you discover it through the love of Christ. And live for the Lord to build the ruined temple within your hearts – to serve and to be saved. Those who have ears, let them hear, Amen
