Divergent Thinking

“All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.” (Isaiah 64:6, Romans 3:10-11)

The saints of this generation are fortunate as they have found the means of righteousness – which is the true faith in God. Even though, Old Testament affirmed that all our righteous acts are like filthy rags, the renewed minds in the New-Covenant prove that the ultimate faith in God is possible, through the son Jesus Christ. In other words, the righteousness through the redemption is not filthy; instead, it is the best outcome of a strong faith, which allows the bearer to resist the evil all the time. However, it is imperative to understand that the righteous acts are not the exhibit of superficial-faith in public, but living in the word of God obediently.

Back in the Old Testament, those sacrifices and rituals of men didn’t satisfy God apparently, since their hearts were corrupted – and therefore, prophet Isaiah testified that there is no one righteous as they displayed profanity time to time. Even the book of Romans in the New Testament says that there is no one seeking God – Yet, the calls for the chosen continues as promised, since they are the ones with the mind-of-Christ to fulfill and establish the righteousness of God. It is written in Titus 2:11-14, NIV-Bible; “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.” Once again, righteousness is the godliness – to live upright both in the sight of men and God. Amen
