There is a magic phrase in the Bible, which says in Philippians 4:13; “I can do all things through him who gives me strength”. Apostle Paul was explaining through the above verse that how confident and strong he was in the Lord. According to Paul, even though he can do all things in Jesus, he prefers other ways of being contented in every situation, which is better both in the sight of men and God.
It is fairly evident in the bible that God created human beings for his own purpose – to be obedient and to do what is right in His sight. Besides, when the word says, “I can do all things”, it is nothing but the mind-set of a true believer, ready for doing good things. And God will help those who are chosen, declares the bible (Philippians 2:13). Mind you, if it is not for godly things, do not claim anything impossible using the Lord’s name. It is imperative as well to understand that God will provide everything that we need to live in this earth, as we are required only to obey his commands day and night. The hallmark verse in Matthews 6:33 deliberately prove this reality when tested!
The bible also teaches this very concept of contentment in 1Timothy 6:6-10; “Godliness with contentment is great gain. For, we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many grieves”. It is also good to read from John 10:10; “I have come to give you life, an abundant life” – which is all about a life in abundance with Jesus, where everything we needed will be provided without asking, once you are in that confident and godly light. Amen
